Five-alarm fire at Hyannis Harbor Resort, Cape Cod, distribute speedily

Many Cape hearth departments responded to the scene of a five-alarm fireplace at the Hyannis Harbor Lodge Sunday afternoon.
The Hyannis Fire Division obtained a contact relating to the fireplace at the lodge at 213 Ocean St. at 2:46 p.m., Hyannis Hearth Main Peter Burke explained.
The hearth, which was positioned involving the walls in a home on the very first flooring, traveled to the next ground of the resort and into the attic.
The hearth rapidly escalated to a five-alarm fire, Burke reported. Exterior, among 15 and 20 staffers had been gathered even though crews responded to the blaze.
“It is extremely unfortunate, not only for the resort, but for the personnel,” reported Cathy Morelli, a bystander who came across the scene outside the house the lodge.
As of 4:45 p.m., crews on ladder vans had been however doing work to extinguish the fireplace, which experienced wrecked the roofing more than three units on the second flooring.
About 55 firefighters in whole responded to the scene, Burke explained. Fire division crews from Barnstable, West Barnstable, Yarmouth, Cotuit, Dennis, Mashpee, Sandwich and Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills responded to the fire Sunday afternoon.
No one particular was hurt or required healthcare facility transport thanks to the hearth, Burke explained.
Website traffic was closed on South Street, Aged Colony Highway and a portion of Ocean Street in the spot of the hearth whilst crews responded.
Team from the lodge would not comment on the fireplace Sunday. The trigger of the fire continues to be under investigation, Burke stated.
